CORN COCKLE
Agrostemma githago
In Greek it means ‘garland of the fields’. This delicate looking cottage
garden favourite is sturdier than it looks. Deep pink flowers will
bloom all summer at the back or middle of the border. Good for naturalizing
with poppies, larkspur or cornflowers. Will self-seed. Grows 60-70
cm tall. Great cut flower, Enjoys poor, welldrained soil in full sun.
