COSMOS
'Kosmos' is Greek for
beautiful. Well named for
its graceful form and glowing
colours. One of the most
adaptable and versatile of all
the easy annuals. A true
"cut and come again"; cutting
stems for bouquets
only encourages more sideshoots
and more flowering
right through fall. Introduced in
the early 1900’s. D.S. or Tr. for flowers in 8
weeks. Poor soil O.K.
‘SUNSET’ Cosmos sulphureus
Back by popular demand! Introduced in the 1890’s, this species is
quite different from the bipinnatus. ‘Sunset” bears deep orange, ruffled
flowers only 60 cm across, but with the same profusion and heat tolerance.
Ht 70 cm, Sp. 20 cm O.
