MEXICAN TULIP POPPY
Hunnemania fumarifoia
Named after a 19th century botanist, this tender
perennial that is treated like an annual is loaded
with clear yellow flowers on lacey green
foliage. Growing up to 150 cm high it will bloom 5
weeks after germination and keep blooming all
summer long. Hailing from Mexico, it needs
full sun and well drained soil. The flowers are
7 cm wide and are reminiscent of California poppies
but the plant is bushier and taller. Great cut
flower.
