MALTESE CROSS Lychnis

Dense clusters of vermillion flowers bloom atop
tall stems rising from bright green basal
mounds. Very striking - hence the folk name
“scarlet lightening”. Grown in pioneer gardens
since the C17th. Combines well with many
white flowers. Cut spent blooms for continued
