SAGE Salvia officials - Originally used in the middle ages as a cure all, it has now been overtaken by the kitchen. Use it in meat dishes and poultry stuffing. The flavour strengthens when it is dried so use it discreetly. Fresh leaves can be kept in the refrigerator for a few days. Keep dried leaves in a sealed container in a cool dark place. Store ground leaves in an airtight container.Type: Perennial Light: likes sun Soil: well drained Height: 30 to 40cm Start indoors 6-8weeks before setting out. They are very susceptable to damp off.
