KALE - RED RUSSIAN This variety has been known in Europe since the 1700's. The wavy blue-green leaves have veins that turn purple-red in cold weather. In severe cold weather the leaves turn purple-red. They are very tender and have excellent flavour. A good source of vitamin C and other minerals. Frost improves the flavour. Sow seeds in summer for fall crop. Sow seeds 1cm deep. Thin to 30cm. Germinates in 10 days. 55 days to maturity. SEED COUNT: Approx. 200 |
