TOMATOES - BEEFSTEAK -- OUT OF STOCK -- Heirloom. A large, bright red, rich tasting tomato weighing up to almost 1kg.They are a heavy producer. Tomatoes love rich soil. Add some compost when planting out. Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost. Cover seeds and germinate at 22C. Set out after hardening off and soil is warm. Space plants 60 to 90cm apart. NOTE: If the plants get spindly due to lack of light, when you plant them out simply bury more of the plant stem. It will not affect the growth and the plant will produce roots along the buried stem.
