TOMATOES - BONNIE BEST -- OUT OF STOCK -- A good northern tomato and heavy producer of medium size bright scarlet fruits. They are excellent for canning and slicing due to its firm flesh. A really nice all round old fashioned heirloom tomato. They love rich soil. Add some compost when setting out. Start seeds indoors 6-8weeks before last frost. Cover seeds. Germinate @ 20C. Set out after hardening off and soil is warm. Space plants 60-90cm apart. NOTE: If the plants get spindly due to lack of light, when you plant them out simply bury more of the plant stem. It will not affect the growth and the plant will produce roots along the buried stem. Maturity 82 days. SEED COUNT: Approx. 30 |
