TOMATOES - BRANDYWINE -- OUT OF STOCK -- One of the most famous Amish heirlooms. From1885, these large plants produce .5kg fruits with deep pink skins and highly flavoured, juicy red flesh. Tomatoes love rich soil. Add some compost when setting out. Start seeds indoors 6-8 wks. before last frost. Cover seeds, germinate @ 22C. Set out after hardening off and soil is warm. Space plants 90cm apart. NOTE: If the plants get spindly due to lack of light, when you plant them out simply bury more of the plant stem. It will not affect the growth and the plant will produce roots along the buried stem. Maturity 100 days. SEED COUNT: Approx. 30 |
