ZINNIA - POLAR BEAR ZINNIA Polar Bear zinnia elegans These old fashioned easy to grow double flowers are pure white. The flowers are carried on a long straight stem and provide a great contrast in your garden. They put on a cheerful show. A great cut flower. Deadhead to promote blooming. Found growing in Mexico in 1519, these Mexican wildflowers were developed by Dr. Gottfried Zinn, an C18 German flower lover. Zinnias are on the verge of a comeback today as gardeners are rediscovering why they reigned supreme for so long. Unsurpassed in the cutting flower garden, putting on a cheerful show right though the heat waves and into the fall.
