BRUSSELS SPROUTS - LONG ISLAND IMPROVED BRUSSELS SPROUTS Long Island Improved Dating from 1890, this old favourite is known for the flavour, heavy yields and hardiness. Sprouts are 2.5 to 3cm growing on a 60cm stock. A little frost makes them sweeter. Start indoors in March. Cover lightly and germinate @ 20C. Transplant in May to 30cm.
