TOMATOES - MONEY MAKER TOMATOES Money Maker lycopersicon esculentum Money Maker is one of the oldest heirloom tomatoes. The deep red fruits are approximately 8-10cm and are grown in clusters of 6-8 fruits along 1.5m vines. Very tasty and a heavy producer. They love rich soil. Add some compost when setting out. Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Cover seed lightly and germinate at 22C. Set out after hardening off. Space plants 60 cm apart. NOTE: If the plants get spindly due to lack of light, when you plant them out simply bury more of the plant stem. It will not affect the growth and the plant will produce roots along the buried stem. Need to be staked. Maturity: 70-90 days SEED COUNT: Approx. 30 |
