LETTUCE - BLACK SEEDED SIMPSON LETTUCE Black Seeded Simpson The heirloom loose leaf lettuce dates back to the mid 19th century. The light green leaves are crumpled, tender and sweet. They retain these qualities longer than other leaf lettuces. Direct seed in early Spring OR start indoors 4 weeks before last frost and every 2 weeks after to ensure a steady supply. Cover seeds lightly. Germinate @ 20C. Space seedlings 15 – 20 cm apart. Matures in July and August. SEED COUNT: Approx. 900 |
