TOMATOES - OLD GERMAN TOMATOES Old German This delicious tomato is a Mennonite heirloom dating back to the 1800’s from Virginia’s Shenadoah Valley. The plant produces up to 900g juicy fruits with extraordinary taste. They are odd in shape and golden yellow with red and pink inclusions. Great for slicing. Tomatoes love rich soil, warmth, direct sunligh and steady supply of water. Add some compost when planting out. Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost. Cover seeds and germinate at 22C. Set out after hardening off and soil is warm. Space plants 60 to 90cm apart. Maturity 75 days. SEED COUNT: Approx. 30 |
